3 Bath winners in 2024 going on to win at Group level

We were really pleased to see three winners this season go on to score at Group level, underlining the racecourses reputation as a hot bed for future stars of Flat Racing. Ice Max won on our opening fixture (7th April) before going on to win the Group 2 Celebration Mile Stakes at Goodwood in August. Aesterius was a very impressive winner on our 24th May fixture before going on to score in the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster and the Group 3 Prix d’Arenberg at Longchamp. Finally, Entrancement, the winner of the Beckford Stakes, went on to win the Group 3 Prix Belle de Nuit at Saint Cloud, 17 days after winning at Bath. In addition, 2021 Bath scorer Anmaat won the Group 1 Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot on Champions Day for Owen Burrows and Shadwell.

Bath Top Trainer Tony Carroll achieving a century of winners

Tony Carroll, who had 11 winners at Bath in 2024 and claimed the title of Bath’s top trainer, recently achieved a career first of hitting 100 winners in the calendar year which he was quoted in saying was a “long time ambition of the yard”. The team at Bath visited Tony’s yard after the season finished to give him a celebratory bottle of Champagne for his success at Bath and to see some of his horses work.

Inaugural Members Yard Visit to Neil Mulholland’s

In August, we hosted our inaugural yard visit for annual members to Neil Mulholland’s yard which saw around 30 annual members get the chance to have tea and coffee with Neil before watching some of his horses on the gallops and having a tour of the yard. The visit was really well received and an added benefit to the annual membership offering.
