Bath Racecourse Latest News / Reciprocal Dates

We couldn't have asked for a better seasonal opener with 63 runners across seven races and the racecourse basking in 21 degree sunshine!

Man Of The Sea and David Probert landed our first race of 2025 before our Easter Sunday meeting, featuring the £50,000 Lansdown Stakes which saw Electric Storm run out as a ready winner under Danny Tudhope for trainer, James Tate. After finishing second in the race last year, it was great to see him get a deserved victory! Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy looked to be a winner for a long way but could only manage second, however it didn't take him long to get back into the winners enclosure. In fact, it took him 35 minutes when Lil Guff won for Daniel and Clare Kubler.

As always, we are very thankful to all of the staff who work tirelessly to bring their horses to the track and for all of those who stayed overnight for our Easter meeting, the Easter bunny delivered a treat!
