The 2024/25 Jumps Season has been a whirlwind to say the least but for the Welsh jockeys and trainers, it has been an incredible year! Sean Bowen was crowned Champion Jockey on Jumps Finale Day at Sandown and topped the day off by landing the Bet365 Gold Cup on Olly Murphy's, Resplendent Grey. It was not just Murphy's horses that Bowen delivered on though as he recently took the spoils in the Irish Grand National aboard Haiti Couleurs for Rebecca Curtis. She too has had a great year, especially with this horse, who also won the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Well done to both Sean and Rebecca!

We also saw an emotional success in the Dunraven Bowl Hunters' Chase at our April meeting as Pink Eyed Pedro, aged 14, found himself back in the winners enclosure after a gutsy performance. This was certainly not his first rodeo, in fact he won the exact same race back in 2019 and it was brilliant to see the fire still evidently burning brightly!
