It's been a phenomenal year for Champion Hurdle winning trainer Jeremy Scott and he worked his magic to get Joe Cotton's head in front in the Smith and Western Chase Series Final on 28th March. Jockey Rex Dingle always looked to be going best and even when he idled in front, he never really looked like being caught. The seven-year-old had been placed on all seven starts in the 12 months since his last start but despite not winning, Scott kept the faith!
It was a tale of two Freddie's during our April 11th meeting as both Freddie Gingell and Freddie Mitchell found themselves in the winners' enclosure. Gingell was recently crowned Champion Conditional Jockey which is a huge achievement and we were delighted to see him pick the trophy up.
