It’s been a busy few months up at Gosforth Park, with some fantastic racing and events rounding off the summer season in style. In July, at our Ladies Day meeting, we welcomed 17,036 people - a 23% increase from last year.
Whilst a busy all-weather campaign remains, we are also gearing up for an exciting jumps season here at Newcastle featuring the Grade 1 BETMGM Fighting Fifth Hurdle!
Preparations are well underway for the big race in November and we could see a mouth-watering clash between two superstars in the jumps sphere. The New Lion, winner of the Turners Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival heads the market for Dan Skelton. He will be looking to give the Skelton's their first win in the race whilst Nicky Henderson could send Constitution Hill up to Gosforth Park to keep the crown at Seven Barrows.
