Worcester Latest News

It has been great to see so many of you having a great time over the summer and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have! There has been so many incredible stories to talk about on the track, including Mount Tempest who landed the feature race at our meeting on the 15th of September, bouncing back to form and springing a HUGE shock at odds of 50/1.

Don Virginia landed the odds in the TrustATrader Fixed Brush Hurdle Series Final under a superb ride by Richie Mclernon. The five-year-old gelding contested the lead early in a deep race but as they approached three out, Mclernon pushed the button and Jonjo & Aj O'Neill's charge bolted clear to win by 17 lengths! Congratulations to the O'Neill's and owners Team Tuff who look to have a very smart horse on their hands!

It was also great to see some of our members at Dave Loughnane's yard in August. Whilst he wouldn't have too many runners here at Worcester, it was a great morning to see first-hand what life is like behind-the-scenes at a leading flat yard. Huge thanks to Dave and his team for being so accommodating and taking time out of their busy schedules to show us round!
