The Berkshire Winter Millions Festival can only be described as a huge success! With incredible prize money on offer, the stars came out across the weekend and we saw some electric performances. Trainer Harry Fry enjoyed three big winners including stable star Gidleigh Park who beat Cheltenham Festival winner Caldwell Potter in convincing fashion. The form of that race has worked out superbly and will be worth tracking next year as well.
Protektorat was a runaway winner of the Fleur de Lys Chase in the colours of John Hales and partners. Hales sadly passed away in the following weeks but leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations. It was a delight to welcome John and his family earlier this year to see such a fantastic performance from Protektorat. John will be sadly missed but will always be remembered for the joy be brought to so many.
We want to also say a huge thank you to all of our amazing ground staff who have worked tirelessly to make sure the course looks as good as it does! Their amazing efforts do not go unnoticed and we are lucky to have such a special group!
